Once a letter is claimed by a found word, it cannot be dragged into another one. A path that crosses an already-claimed tile is rejected — choose a different route to the word you are after.
The board is not solved just because every word has been found — it is solved once every letter on the grid belongs to one of them. A stray unclaimed tile means a word is still findable somewhere near it.
