Rule 02Walls cannot be crossed.

The heavy edges between squares are walls. The line has to go around them, and they are what makes the route findable — without them a grid this size would need a number on almost every square.

Rule 03Meet the numbers in order.

The line must reach 2 after 1, 3 after 2, and so on. Reaching a number early turns it red — which is usually the fastest way to learn that a promising route was wrong twenty squares ago.
